The Idea

The business concept began with a discussion on how to develop a better coupon delivery system. Text messaging emerged during the initial brainstorming as an excellent medium because of its wide market-reach and mobile nature. The idea developed into plans for a consumer-driven, location-aware, spam-free platform to find and redeem coupons anytime, anywhere on any mobile phone. Building that platform would require building an affordable and effective mobile-marketing tool applicable to a wide variety of businesses. We determined business viability, established the market potential and set our idea in motion with the best talent, a bunch of creativity and a ton of hard work. Frogzog was born. Now it's time to get froggy with your phone.

The Approach

Market research revealed that a majority of text messaging service providers limit their delivery to a mass push of messages to a list of phone numbers. Frogzog determined this method by itself to be restrictive. Realizing that a thriving mobile coupon delivery system depends on both consumer and business satisfaction, Frogzog developed an approach to marry the two. Frogzog provides consumers a free, no-spam system to search for and receive a business' coupons via SMS (or text messaging). Frogzog provides businesses a low-cost, easy-to-use system to offer coupons to everybody with a mobile phone.

One of the key Frogzog features is our patent-pending location-awareness: Frogzog determines which coupons to deliver based on not only what is searched for, but also, and perhaps more importantly, from where it is searched. (A $5 off coupon is great, unless you have to drive 50 miles to use it.)

Frogzog also offers traditional subscription/push services, but with an added layer of our location-intellegence. This enables consumer's to opt in for offers and updates from their favorite businesses near their neighborhood, office or favorite weekend getaway. Location-intellegent subscription/push gives businesses the power to target their promotions and messaging down to the local level.
